It's Fertilizer Time Again!

Scouts are preparing to sell Fertilizer once again, earning their way to 2015 Scout Camp in beautiful Wyoming!  This year, summer camp will be at Camp Loll, sandwiched within easy walking distance of both Yellowstone National Park and Teton National Park!  What a great experience this will be for Scouts of all ages and ranks!

In preparation for the annual Fertilizer Sale, Scouts may want to hone their skills and earn the Salesmanship Merit Badge.  They can also be working on Communications Merit Badge, Entrepreneurship, and several other applicable badges.

    Fertilizer Facts and the Sales Form are available online:

The 2014 Troop 342 Yard Sale was a Rousing Success!

Now in its 22nd consecutive year, this year's gigantic Yard Sale broke records for stuff sold and income earned!  The proceeds of this event are used for Troop scholarships, activity subsidies, awards, capital expenses and maintenance of Troop equipment.  We had 2 semi-trailer loads packed to the ceiling with collectibles, antiques, tools, furniture....   you name it, we had it!  Enjoy the pictures of this year's event!

This is the Greatest Show on Earth!

Troop 342 was able to secure a slot at the famed Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmaron, New Mexico, for an 80-mile+ high adventure backpack activity.  The opportunity only happens every 4-5 years, so we truly feel fortunate to have secured a trek this year!

Wellington Lake:

Platte River:

Hardy Scouts braved frigid temperatures and high winds to ride the mountains and city paths to complete their Cycling Merit Badge.  Six rides total,

exceeding 150 miles.  The last 50 miles completed in less than 8 hours.  Shown here are the rides at Wellington lake, a combination of trail and road;

and the ride along the Platte River, beginning in Lakewood and going through downtown Denver.
